Cream Together:
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
Add and Mix well:
4 eggs
2 tsp. Vanilla
Add to mixture (on top) but don't mix in yet.
2 cups applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
Sift and add to mixture
4 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
Beat well. Then stir in 3 cups nestle toll house semi-sweet chocolate chips. Measure by spoonfulls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake @ 375 for 9 minutes.
