INGREDIENTS
- • 1/2 cups onions, diced
- • 2 Tbsp fat free chicken broth, low sodium
- • 2 Tbsp garlic, minced
- • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey breast
- • 1/2 cup bread crumbs or oatmeal
- • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- • 2 Tbsp marinara sauce
- • 2 Tbsp basil, chopped
- • 2 Tbsp italian parsley, chopped
- • 1/2 egg, beaten
DIRECTIONS
- 11) Preheat oven to 350.
- 22) Saute the onions in the broth until lightly browned. ( I just put mine in raw)
- 33) Add the garlic and cook 5 more minutes, remove from heat and cool slightly. (same here, put in raw)
- 44) In a large mixing bowl, combine the onion mixture with the ground turkey, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup marinara sauce, basil and parsley.
- 55) Form mixture into a loaf. Shape and place in an ungreased loaf pan.
- 66) Brush with the remaining 2 tbs marinara sauce and bake until cooked through, 30 - 45 minutes.
